Once again I find myself inspired by a totally different thread. Today's topic is virtual sea life. We're talking about anything from fish tank screensavers to undersea adventure video games. So come share the ones you know and maybe try out something new and tell us what you think of it!
Kicking things off, I'll start with what I consider sort of the definitive entry to interacting with sea creatures, Endless Ocean. Both the original and the sequel are unfortunately Wii only titles, but if you can play them they are incredible. It is basically a diving simulator where you swim with fishies, sharks, and whales, train dolphins to do tricks, and curate your own aquarium tank. It also has awesome music!
I'd also like to point out a few different screensavers. My personal favorite and the only one I own personally is Goldfish Aquarium 2.0. It has very nice graphics of a small selection of different goldfish, mostly fancy ones, and a few different views and backdrops that it can cycle through. There are a lot of settings to play with to customize it to your liking. Support in my experience has been prompt but condescending. You can visit the site for it here: http://www.lifeglobe.com/product/Goldfish/
There is also Ocean Dive, which I don't own but am seriously considering. It claims to be both a screensaver and a game where you explore various undersea areas including some ancient ruins. Exploring is only in the paid version, but the basic screensaver is free. If you do get it, let the rest of us know what you think of it. http://www.oceandive.com/
Finally, one of my favorite little apps on my iPad, Kind of Fishy. There aren't any actual fish in this, just fish shaped driftwood that swims around under an old pier. It is charmingly weird and very relaxing. It looks to be available for both IOS and Android systems. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...as.fishy&hl=en
