    Are You Serious?

    Take a look at this Yahoo Answers screenshot. I can't believe this got picked as best answer and got three thumbs ups. I really wish people would see mermaiding and anything else different for that matter, as a hobby and not some crazy obsession that's gonna get us all in mental hospitals. The screenshot doesn't show it, but if you were to scroll down the question, there was an answer about mermaiding being a "perversion" and calling it "weird" is a nicer way of saying worse things. Excuse me? The majority of us are normal people with lives, jobs, and in school/college. It's sad people are so quick to judge without doing research or taking a closer look at things in this generation.

    Everything about that top answer is hilarious.

    Also, it's YahooAnswers. I've never understood why anybody takes anything on that site seriously. It's YahooAnswers.

    I know it was just a typo, but the comment with the "pubic pool" cracked me up.

    That said, there is a pretty ok answer in there (no 2).
    I remember when I found the german version of this question, the answers were all negative and even dumber than these

    Do you read the reviews of other buyers before buying a product?
    Do you base your decision at least partly on what the majority of them said?

    Because this is similar.
    Of course there are trolls, and for things that can be researched are better ways, but to just get an honest answer out of common people you encounter on the street or, you know, at the pool, yahooanswers aren't that bad.

    Exactly why I don't like Yahoo Answers everybody there is either judgmental, closed-minded, or negative. I was just searching where I can swim with my tail when it's not cold anymore and that question popped cached on Google.
