    Let's share: Mermaid Artwork

I was looking for a thread for sharing our Mer related artwork, but I couldn't find a thread specifically for that. Anyone want to share? I'm in the mood to draw so hopefully I will have some pics of my artwork to post soon. Anyone else feel like sharing? Anyone do any sculptures, or paintings? Even other sea life art would be cool to see.

p.s. Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place.

Yesterday I doodled a merman onto a meeting agenda (I was still paying attention to the meeting)

Thank you I didn't leave room for his other arm (doodling in pen) so I decided he would have an amputated arm - like maybe he wrestled a shark away from an injured baby dolphin! Aywho, disabled mers need representation too!

Oh, I just figured his arm was bent in a way that it disappeared into the silhouette. I like the wrestling a shark to save a dolphin!

    Mermaid Drawing!!!

Nice work, MerPixie! I love the silhouette look!

Here's one of mine. I drew this mer a looooong time ago, before I even knew about mermaiding. I never finished her though!

I think she needs a name... any ideas???

(P.S.) I tried to change the size a third time, to make it not so big... but I fail at internet... I can delete it, if it is too big!

Her hair reminds me of sea kelp, so I looked up it's scientific name which is Macrocystis pyrifera. So how about call her Pyrifera?

Here is a drawing I did about a year ago. Inspired by Cut-throat trout.

So, I've had this idea in my head for a few days, but it's not quite how I pictured it. I need to work on my depth of field and my shading/blending. I decided to finish it anyway even though it wasn't turning out right.

    Thank you!
I've thought about having a tail like that. I might just have to own more than one tail because I can't make up my mind! I want a brown and green leafy sea dragon type tail, and a pink tail, and then I've been wanting a tail that is inspired by a native fish. Deciding on tail styles is hard!

Thank you! The shoulder scales were a bit of an experiment but I really like them. And the black and white mer is on the cover of my sketchbook. I wanted it to look like she was swimming through stars.

Drawing more tails. This one is inspired by a pumpkin seed fish.
