Was innocently scrolling through tumblr when I cam across this:

With the captions 'just finishing up some tail' by our lovely mertailor and I just... wow. If the seams hadn't hit me in the face the sculpting on the fluke would have. Way to show us Matty wasn't carrying your business Mertailor. Swim on my friend. Swim on.

Besides all the above mentioned, is it just me or is the fluke lop sided/not mirror? or is it just the picture.

Yeah. I thought that too. It does seem quite uneven.

Even worse than that, if you look further on the fluke, you can see the holes he made on the monofin

Why does he still do that? I thought it was detrimental to the usage of the tail?

Because even though he thinks he's the best, he still hasn't figured out in all his years how to bond to the monofin lol

For his defence seams are there cause that tail is basic one, there's that spacer material under thin layer of silicone, so the tail is sewn together, not glued. I still think hiding the seams wouldn't be impossible job with a bit of silicone in the cracks, but of course if you prefer quantity (and the money) over quality...

Plus Raven's tails that used neoprene didn't have these massive seams in them so it's clearly not impossible to hide them if you try.
