Thanks for letting me know! After about 3 hours soaking in water, the colors got a tad milky (I had read somewhere on MN that Mod Podge was an acceptable sealer, so it's a bit frustrating), so I'll be sure to switch to resin for the future! <3

Hot glue is a big nope, you can use it to hold stuff together while you use a better glue like e6000 though. Hot glue will just peel off in water

I love Krylon High Gloss clear spray, it comes in Satin, Matte, and Gloss. Granted you have to coat whatever you are working on with a bunch of thin layers, I feel like it is the best bet (other than resin like Pearlie said).
Will the high gloss spray hold up in chlorinated water?

If you make sure it has a good full coat and rinse it off afterword I don't see why it would not help. But chlorine eats away at everything anyway so it would degrade a bit. But I don't think the color would change. That's what I am working on, and am curious about.

Oh, wow. Knock me out. To die for!!! :-)
I just realized I never posted pics after I got my amazing top from Lotus on Thursday night! <3 It's my first proper mermaid top, so I've been SUPER excited about getting this! ;w;
Straight out of the box. Came with the original concept template and an adorable little thank-you letter!
First picture taken once I put it on (which was immediately, of course~). It fits perfectly and is SO comfy!
And a more serious picture once I could stop giggling and hopping around. :P
I'm super excited to bring it out for a test-swim, although I need to coat the shells in some EnviroTex first since we found out about the issue with the Mod Podge coating (which Lotus was super awesome about!). EnviroTex shouldn't have any weird sort of reactions to Mod Podge, right?
Its not done yet....but BAM, LIGHTS! <3 Its a prototype, but the top should be totally waterproof! x3
