Hi there,
Just thought I should post a bag a made for my tail today, as when trying to transport it, it's a bit more of a hassle and bulkier than a fabric one.
Wearing it front and back:
26702
26703
Normal front and back:
26704
26705
Inside:
26706
And a close up of the little motif I decided to paint, to personalise it ^_^
26707
It has reinforced seams on the shoulders and on the seams on the inside of the bag, with the same stuff you see on the shoulder straps (red strips). Triple stitched in all the key and main stress areas and well yea, not having to carry/transport it covered in a piece of fabric anymore!!!

Whoa! You could absolutely make these to sell, I'm sure mers with big heavy tails would greatly appreciate having a bag to tote them in.

Aww thank you mers ^_^, means a lot <3
I was thinking about it, but I'd like someone with a full silicone tail to get one first (not at full price + shipping) to see how all the seams take the weight, pretty much like a durability test and how it feels. Since my tail is only 7kg, it is nowhere near a full silicone tail weight, obviously :P

A note on this - it might be a good idea to make the fabric of the straps run all the way around the bag, like so:
26825
This'll make it a lot stronger and less likely to break along the bottom seam.

Point noted thank you. Though I was going to do it but I ran out of red, didn't measure before buying, mistake on my behalf as I forgot I was putting it on the straps as well.

Ilyena, I'd love to buy one from you as your first demo if you still need someone, I'm dying for a tail bag, and my merbellas is like 25 pounds wet and sometimes I have to walk it a ways

Great bag! Kelda makes a good point about the straps, too!

Thank you Pearlie, I took note ^_^ The two bags I shall be working on once I get the measurements are slightly different to mine. I won't be doing it to mine as well it's not heavy enough to worry about plus it has the straps on the seams inside :)

I need this in my life. Lol. You should mass produce these in the hundreds! Lol. With color options, of course :) :cthulhu:

Thank you Whisper and Kelda, makes life soo much easier, except doors lol.
Kaitwoman: I have made one custom order and am open to others. The colours come in many option for both fabric and the straps. They're custom because not all fluke/tails are the same shape ^_^, though some companies have a one-size-fits-all monofin bag which do fit some silicone tails.

About $125 plus shipping which varies from $10 - $40 depending where you live. That's with tracking post not regular.

In the end, I might order one from you. I got the new backpack and it's great but the whole thing is upside down. I'm forced to bend my fins to fit the tail inside and I'm afraid to damage them because of the pressure.

Oh that doesn't sound that nice. I cannot tell, so the ankles are at the top rather than the end of the fluke? therefore the bent fluke parts are on the bottom?

You got it.
Hence why I'm worried to damage them because of the force on them.
It's not really practical. For monofins, it's good but it's actually not really suitable for a tail.

The exact reason why mine are fluke up, to not distort then ends or anything, as I had spent that much time making my nudibranch tail fluke (I will cry if anything happens/ed to it lol).

Well then, I'm definitely gonna buy from you. If you have one available spot for an order, I will send you measurements of my fluke after work tonight.

Yes I do, just PM me when you're ready. Might have to wait a couple of days for the blue tape, since I just used the last on fixing a motorcycle cover for dad. But I can get started on the main parts while I wait.
