Making tails is literally the most searched thing on this site. Either use the search bar or click "Making tails" at the top.

She isn't asking how to make a tail she's asking where she can get materials from (correct me if I'm wrong).

There are plenty of places you can get clay and dragon skin (and other types of platinum cure silicone). what's going to be the most cost effective place to get them for you is going to depend largely on where you live.

Sadly silicone isn't cheap. Depending on how tall you are...it takes roughly 3 to 5 gallons of silicone to make a full silicone tail. If you purchase a one gallon kit, it costs about 180 dollars...a 10 gallon kit is about 850 :/

^^Yes but remember when you order 1 gallon (if both parts are a ratio of 1:1) you actually get 2 gallons because each part is a gallon and from what I've read 3 to 5 gallons is a very high estimate.

Yes, but depending on ones size; me for example. I'm 6'3. I weigh approximately 289 lbs. Then there's the chance of mistakes, silicone not curing correctly etc. I mean, a person of smaller stature might only need two gallons :-) I wish that were the case for me :/

for my tail skin. I used 1.5 gallons of Silicone but keep in mind my skin is about 1cm thick, so i used more as it was thicker. it will depend on the thickness of the mold or skin your wanting to make. silicone DOES spread out and you will be surprised on how much it spreads out. 2 gallons would be a good starting point but this will depend of the stature of the individual. 10 gals i don't think we can get that in AUS, also 180.00 for i gallon????? you should try 400AUD for 1 gallon of dragons Skin. 180 is cheap. :jawdrop:
