Shell Mirrors!!!

For about a year and half I've been collecting al sorts of shells.

Small shells, bigger shells and a bunch of Lion Paws.

I wanted do something creative with for a long time now, but they're to small to use for a top.
so after much thinking I think i came up with a idea that I've not yet seen on this forum. :)

(It's the first one, not the best :(,
I do not have really mermaidy detail stuff yet so I had to work with I had
and tried to make a pretty as my materials would allow :D.)

I made one of shells into...

I actually made myself one before! but I painted it pastel pink and blue gradient and made them into a compact mirror. But I sent it to my cousin who is also interested in mermaiding so I need to make myself a new one.

I've been thinking about props (there need to be more, to have something to do underwater xD ), so yes I would use it.

Do you have any ideas how to decorate the mirrors?
And since the shell is hollow, and the mirrors I use are straight I need some sort of decorations around the mirror to hide the holes around the mirror.
I could use seaweed, beads and then I'm out of ideas. I'm not sure if small shells will looks okay as decorations on bigger shells...

I found two more mirrors!!
One is bigger than this completed mirror, so i can use one of my bigger shells to make a mirror of.
And one is a bit smaller than the competed shell mirror, so I can make one a similair size as this one.

The only problem is, I can't take them apart without breaking the mirror itself...
Probably need to take them home to my parents this weekend to see if my dad can get the mirrors without braeking them

The back of the mirror was originally plain black (must have been meant to hang on a wall, as there was a hole for a hook).
So, I thought I'd jazz it up a little!

Of course, now it's hard to hold it up for long periods of time xD
