The joy of ordering your first custom tail

I did it. I have paid for my first tail designed by me and executed by Mike Van Daal. I would have gone with Finfolk but I didn't want to wait a year.

At first I had buyers remorse because it was sooo much money to me. Anyone else feel like that? But then I realized how much money I have spent buying and repairing used tails that I could basically have had two tails by now made just for me. So I feel a little better.

I went with a peacock theme. My mersona isn't totally developed yet I feel like I am still a baby mermaid. I loved my MVD Melissa tail so we took that one and made some changes to it. I don't have a drawing yet but this tail will have elements on it that he has never done before. We are both excited. I was inspired by these photos and the most beautiful merbella tail. I absolutely don't want to rip off merbella I just am so enchanted by these spots and it was the only one like it I could find that helped me illustrate what I want.

This merbella tail belongs to one of the girls from siren tide and I think it is absolutely amazing. My fluke will be nothing like this neither will the colors but those spots are gorgeous

Yes he will do the base coat black and then paint the lime green and electric blue over that. I can't wait to see it finished one more month

Mike is hard to predict in that he does tails whenever his personal life frees time. He isn't a huge producer full time so I just lucked into availability. It just truly depends on how busy he is with his other job and his life!

I asked because someone who buys those tails really often was seeking Mike's (iper super)used tails for $4000 and didn't want to lower the price because it takes 6 months for Mike's tails to be completed.

Now I have to state that this was only an excuse to sell to an higher price an used tail.....

Mizzle van dizzle and my tizzle is well on it's way. Melissa is excited to see the ressurection of one of her fave tails too! Here is the fluke and here is mike showing me his crotch so I can see how big my pectoral fins are. And I know how wrong this is - he and I had a giggle.

Yes it is about two mermaids who need magical friendship seeds to stay in mermaid form and if they aren't caring and selfless the plants won't grow there won't be seeds and they won't be able to swim. It is important to keep the environment balanced so if hate and pride invade the pH of the land won't grow the plants that make the seeds. Will they stay human and give in to life's challenges or take the high road that keeps them below sea level?
