Research for a documentary photo project about us!

Hey guys

My ex-lecturer (I'm a photography graduate) wants to do a photography project about mers after becomming facinated by all my facebook posts etc, and I met up with him today to give him a bit of a mermaid 101 crash-course and explain my personal perspective on mermaiding and the community. (He's due to meet up with other UK mers to interview them and eventually once he's done researching and figuring out certain elements will be moving on to taking images.)

I made the suggestion that it might be useful to talk to a wider pool (scuse the pun :P) of mers and mermen, and offered to post this thread to broach the subject and gauge interest. He's especially interested in talking to any mermen to get their perspective on things btw.

So to cut a long story short, would any of you be up for having a skype conversation with him? (Or at least potentially doing something like answering a survey?)

His name is David Gregory and he's a great guy and can personally vouch for him! He's coming at it from a very positive angle where he wants to research in depth and hopefully through his work, dispell negative preconceptions that people have about us, and where potentially negative preconceptions are confirmed, he wants to try to show those things in a positive light instead.

I'm going to be sending him a link to this thread and have already invited him to join MN so, not that I need to ask, please can you all show him a warm welcome =)

Hi Guys... Just to let you know I've been extremely busy with work, but intend to set up some skype calls and interviews over the Easter holidays here... which for me this year, begins March 27th! Woohoo!

Does your cell phone have Skype? If so, Sure. Give me a time you can talk to me on Skype (EDT for you in Florida I assume?) and your skype name :)

Nope... Give me a time you can talk to me on Skype and your skype name :) As you're in the UK, you could do a great deal more to help me if you like. I'm currently working with a few UK mermaids in person for this project.
