Best way to modify the backs of tops...

Ok so I made myself a simple bra too with silicone shells made my me, and on my first swim I had to tie the back since the hook/eye back wasn't holding it right enough. I already altered the straps to tie around my neck instead of over the shoulders but are there any other ways? I got swim too hooks from hobby lobby, and was planning on doing that unless y'all have other more mermaidy ideas?

Pretty! I'm not a fan of those hooks personally, I just tie both straps. But if it works for you :)
