Ok guys as a few of you probably know from my constant harping and complaining, I looove the look of a simple shell top. But I have rather large bewbs and I'm wanting more than pasties. But I was looking in a shell shop in Redondo Beach (on the peir) and I found these beauties! 27727
I hope the picture isn't blurry but they're about seven inches wide and were only 8 bucks a piece! I'm finally making a shell top! Yay! *happy wiggles* I think I'm gonna go simple with just rope and shells on a bra, I'll post pics as I make it! *more happy wiggles* they also had some unpolished abalone that I considered, but they're not very pretty on the outside. Anyways, my busty mers, if you really want a real shell top, keep looking! You might get lucky! (Ps the shells are a wee bit small for me still, but they'll work on a bra.)

I have finished it! I used some rope to cover all the exposed bits of bra and I have to say I love the way it looks! I'll better pics later but for now~ 27952

heres a closer look. All of the exposed bra is covered in that rope, I like the simplicity, and plants itch :) I hand sewed the rope on and glues the shells with gorilla glue. You have to dampen both surfaces, smear a thin layer of glue on both surfaces and then clamp for 1-3 hours. I did the "clamping" by placing the glued shells against the glued bra while it was on and then laying on my stomach for an hour on the floor. it hurt, but was worth it because it worked! I'm going to do some better edge gluing with clamps before I try to swim in it. :)

OH and the rope straps hurt like hell. Any suggestions? I need help with more comfortable straps.

Netting is always an option! You can also leave the band on a bra and then sew two layers of net over it, along with a net halter strap. Then you can put glitterz in the net [emoji92][emoji93]

Maybe flesh colored wide elastic for straps, covered with rope or netting (on the top, only, not against your skin)?

Maybe this could work. Because rope and net hurt like hell.
