Nope. Don't know you. Only two posts. Nothing about says you like mermaids or doing mermaid things. Heck, didn't even introduce yourself.

but what is your process going to be? you say you need 120,000 for equipment but without a detailed list of what you need. Also how about a video from YOU and not pulled from other sources

Sounds like a scam...

Okay, so I actually went to the website, saw the video, it sounds like a cool project. Would I actually fund this? Heck no! Personally, if mer-people really are out there, I'd rather people DIDN'T find them. I mean, we all know what would happen if they were discovered/captured. Just leave 'em be!!!!

Yea, I don't want people to find them either. I like the thought of it being something mystical kinda like an urban legend.

it does sound like a cool project but even if someone wanted to fund this, the indigogo is just too suspect. There is no information about the "merm searching group", no website, no background other than a vague 'animal rescue'. The videos were all pulled from other parts of the internet. and the rewards are just as vague, 'updates and pictures if we get them' guaranteed for the people willing to contribute over $1000, and for everyone else it's up to a raffle.

in order to put together a solid search attempt they would need at least 10 stationary underwater cameras (800 each), 2 sonar systems(up to 4,000 each), dive equipment for {making a guess} 6 or more people(2,000 at least per person), 2 remote controlled sub cams (14,000 to 20,000 each), computer equipment, at least 2 GOOD boats {not skiffs}. All that plus monetary compensation for the researchers. 120,000 is not going to cover it, not by a long shot

not to mention that the reward for finding the mermaid is 1 million dollars. Will they split the money with the indigogo contributors? or will they pocket that?
