After much thinking and reading how-tos, I decided to makeover another tail.

My makeover for the Trout Fish didn't work out, so I put it into the "Too Hard" drawer for now. I think it kinda was a rush job, trying this and that and then getting really frustrated it didn't go as planned.

Here is the Dorsal Fin Tail as it was. Sorry for the small photo.

And the dorsal fin. Can't tell, so I added white paper so one can see it.

Here is the fluke done. Whether I'll add details in later is another matter, as the plain lycra runs color. So I'll have to wait till it stops leaking color before I can paint it.
The monofin is a merfin. I just trimmed the tips and bumpy edges off, to make it easier to design around.

The tail/fluke seam. I wanted a raised look, so it would have a bit of texture as it changes from tail skin to fish fluke.

Apologies in advance for many posts. I wasn't sure if I could fit everything into one long post.
Using both techniques of fin lines and sewing across. Haven't used the two together, thought I'd try it for this tail.

And the fin hole.

The dorsal fin will have to be tomorrow, as I'm to fast for my XRays today. My brain will be all over the place and mistakes will definitely happen!:$
