Hey all, I have turned off my PM inbox because I am getting overwhelmed every time I log in with a full inbox from people new to the site. I don't have time to respond to so many PMs looking for help that can be easily found on the forum, and it's making my mernetwork time a bit stressful! So please, for everything I personally know about mermaiding, I have already made a giant index here: http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?9364-Raina-s-Professional-Resources&highlight=raina%27s+resources and you can see my website www.makemeamermaid.com if you want to know something about Merbellas keep in mind I only have SOME insight because I have been a long time customer and friend, but that I do NOT work for them. I know it can seem confusing... but we live in two different countries. I once even had someone's mom send me a giant email and I was like "um, nope no idea!" lol. Everything I know, I post in the thread when I know it. So it's best to check there. If I havent posted, I don't know.

Don't forget to make use of the search system here and the indexes that are already laid out for you and stickied on many of the boards. Contrary to popular belief, I am not a mod or admin. lol I have just been around since the site started and post a lot. If you need an issue resolved I am not the person to PM. You can use the ! button in your thread and it'll contact the admins for you directly. I am glad people find my helpful but the nice thing about posting in threads is that I get to choose what I answer and what I leave for someone else, what I contribute to, or what I participate in. And I can do it on my own time. When people PM me multiple times it sends notifications that you can't turn off and starts to interfere with normal life when people get particularly obsessive about wanting an answer to something. (spoiler alert: I have no idea how to make a tail but there's at least 100 threads on the topic ;) )

Thank you new members for your understanding! I know it can be hard when you first join a forum but it's important to get yourself familiar and learn to do things :) best fishes.

For anyone who didn't know you CAN turn off your PMs and your inbox can be filled just from sent messages too! (many people don't realize you have to clean out both the inbox and the sent mail box.

Please read my post Raina with 'What's with the Silence' in Just Talk forum. I'm lacking an understanding as to why people do things I don't understand.

You may also want to read another reply of mine in the Just Talk forum.

Auroraspirit I highly doubt the entire post was just made because you sent one message, or in reference to you alone.

I'm asking people to check out my post in Just Talk forum. I'm finding it very hard on this forum to find an understanding.

seriously, you dont seem to understand I am bombarded with 100s of messages daily through here, facebook, and emails. I have already provided LOADS OF FREE RESOURCES that I have poured countless hours into. People can also pay me for my time and skills by attending an online workshop, buying my books, or watching my youtube (since youtube pays me) I don't owe you or anyone else anything. Not even a reply that says "I'm too busy" when my auto replies already say that. I actually found the thread you linked to be really rude and entitled and not really appropriate.

My email right now has over 300 unread emails, I have to sift through the majority of the 'give me a free tail' 'teach me everything you know about mermaids' and find the actual clients. My facebook? Up over 100 unread messages, most of them demanding my services for free, few of them from my actual friends asking how I am.

I come to mernetwork to share my knowledge and skills on my terms. And so do many others. I also come here to socialize. And learn from other mermaids. And watch other mermaids on their journey and celebrate with them. I don't need to defend myself because you feel entitled to PM responses. I have shut my PMs off on mernetwork multiple times. I often take breaks from the forum too. You're the first one to take it personally and not just recognize that I am an active user getting burnt out who would like a break from demands...

I (and most everyone I think) really appreciate how helpful you are Raina! I believe you are experiencing what celebrities do, until they get a PR team to deal with it for them lol ;)

I thought it was 998th. because it was the 998th commander of the night's watch. Honestly it showed up in my FB feed, someone was reading George RR Martin in Finnish.
