Mermaid Name?

I dont wanna get yelled at for making threads but I did look and search and didnt see any threads about this so here goes...

Hey all Im having a slight issue... when I joined I knew the name I started with wouldnt be my permanent mermaid name but Im having trouble finding a mermaid name

Some of the ones I have been eyeballing are Kalidah or Khalidah or some variation and or Asana or something

If anyone could give suggestions or something I would really appreciate it thanks :3

I like Kalidah! I had some trouble with my mer-name for a while. I was "Marina" for a long time before I thought of Neria. Neria just seemed to... fit. Part of the reason why I changed my name was that Marina didn't feel original enough. I'm over the whole "originality" thing though and I think you just need to go with whatever your heart is telling you your mer-name is. Honestly, when I swim in my tail, I don't pretend to be Neria. It's really just more of a pen name. When I swim in my tail, I want to be me, mermaid me. Human me as a mermaid, if that makes sense.

That makes perfect sense! Kalidah is the one thats been singing to me really but I want to be absolutely sure ya know?

I also was struggling with that decision for a while, but this name came to my mind from this very old W.I.T.C.H-comic book where this Nerissa was a bit, well, bad guy, but oh my god she was so beautiful... Then I searched what the name means, and it actually comes from greek language and means "ocean sprite" or "ocean maiden ", so that was it :) Also my own name, Neea, comes from greek and it means new.

I really like name Kalidah,it sounds also beautiful when you say it. Mystical :)

How do you pronounce Kalidah?

In Spanish, if you pronounce it Ka-lee-dah, it means "warm" (the word is "cálida").

I think its pronounced the way you did Ka-lee-dah lol I really do love the name I just wanna be absolutely sure that its the right name for me
