View Full Version : Purchasing A Trident?

Okay, I am sure this has been discussed a thousand and one time here but... Does anyone know where I can purchase a trident?
I know there are sites that show how to make them, but I am not a very crafty person with most things. I'd rather just buy one.
There is one site that I know sells tridents but I cannot recall where. Anyone know any good places?

If you do a bit of googling for "trident spear" you can find the one I bought from BudK, now for sale from various vendors: Neptune's Trident (http://www.northstarzone.com/id4.html)

Looking on Etsy might turn something up. Make sure the seller rates well specifically states its waterproof (if you plan to use it in underwater shoots) before you buy it though ;)

Organic Armor? And I think Merman Christians makes them sometimes.

The only trident maker I've seen is Organic Armor, but definitely check Etsy.

I really want one, too... [emoji25]

That's really cool! Only it's not really a trident though, it's more of a hexadent.

Pentadent. Hex is six, pent is five.

Either way, it sounds like a toothpaste.

I always thought it ironic that the name of the sugarless gum that 4 out of 5 dentists who chew gum, choose Trident.

Trident literally means 'three teeth'

:thinks:

And the two dentists who recommended it were, collectively, a Bident.

So a trident without teeth would be a Polident?

Wouldn't a Polident have many teeth? Or is that Polydent?

Yes! Poly means many. If it had one spike or whatever they're called, it would be a monodent. Then bident, trident, quadrent, and so on! :)

If my boy friend gets mering I might ask my dad to help make one he has a welding business he's just started up. I'm not good with fire so I design it he crafts my metal work he made me a crown for my magikarp cosplay I hope to finish by after popcon.

Here's the link to his FB page if anyones interested or needs metal work.

I bought one from a costume shop and then spray painted it and added pearls and the like to it :) Cost me less than $15! It is really lightweight but fine in the water!
