Ello loves,

My name is Kishi, though hopefully soon it will be changed to Naida. (Wasn't sure what to call my self when I fist joined then found my name and have to wait for it to change.) Anyways I thought I would finally introduce my self after lurking on the forums for quite some time and then recently making an account. I, like many here, have loved the ideal of being a mermaid since I was a child and I found out not long ago that my grandmother was a mermaid in her younger years, so I guess it kind of runs in my blood :p.

At the moment I do not have a tail because the one I had before had to be decommissioned after my hubby got a hold of it....I can't completely blame him, he was only trying to help me and my sleep deprived mind didn't think it through before the damage was already done...thankfully I will be getting a new tail, a Silicone one instead of Latex and I'm uber excited.

So now that I've introduced myself I will probably go back to stalking the forums and getting to know the amazing people here.

we had a mermaid working for us named Naida but she is no longer a mermaid. As far as I know she was the only one, so the name should be up for grabs ;)

Really, That's sad that she's no longer a mermaid, I don't know what I would do with my self. This last year that I've been without my tail has been driving me nuts. Thankfully with the monofin being removable I have had some semblance of swimming with a tail...though without the weight of it isn't really the same.

It started out black, then I had to add silver to it because the paint wouldn't stay of the fluke, came off in my first swim, apparently it didn't cure right because after the silver was put on on the fluke it stayed on. I kept it that way for about a year before I decided I would try to change its colors. I went with a metallic gold fish look, never could get the paint to stay so my husband tried to help me out and....well he took the seams out and added fabric to try and get rid of the stretched. It worked to an extent, but can't be used except for dry shows now....

I love the paint job you gave the tail! The spots going down the side of the fluke are a nice touch! I am sorry that it can't be swam in anymore, but I wish you luck with your next tail.
