Great news- I'll be visiting SoCal the first week of May! (May 1st-May 7th) :D I'll be originally in LA but may be traveling down to the Anaheim and/or San Diego area as well! I'd LOVE to have a meetup while I'm there! Swim meet, or beach photo shoot or something awesome!

Okay so I'm going to be attending the SoCal pod Meetup on Sat May 2nd. (Here's the FB link for those who have it: https://www.facebook.com/events/1568356840085795/). Event says 11am-9:30 pm. I probably won't be there till around 2ish though cause I gotta get my hotel stuff sorted then drive down. It's at Balboa Pier (#1 Balboa Pier, Newport Beach, California 92661)

According to Anita the group stays after dark and has a potluck around a bonfire on the beach. This month's event says "To participate, you need to contribute [to the potluck]! Please do not show up with nothing to contribute to the group and think it's okay to just eat the food that others brought, it isn't fair to those who go out of their way to help provide for this event to happen."

I'm going to be going and getting food somewhere else though, cause I have a super strict (medically necessary) diet. I'll try and bring a little something for others to snack on though :)

Also it's possible that we may be organizing a pool meetup in the week. Just need to find a pool, haha :P Preferably in SD county cause I plan to head that way after Monday, and also it will give the mers who are in SD county who can't travel up to the beach meetup a chance to get together. But we'll see what happens :)

Yes! The monthly meet is potluck style, we hang out with legs and in tail and do a bonfire. You're welcome to bring "you only" snacks or food and I'm sure everyone will be understanding. Can't wait to see you!

Long story short, I won't be able to make the trip down anymore :( Life happened and now we don't have the funds to make it work. I'm very sorry everyone. :sad eyes:
