I bought The Sims 3 Pets Expansion Pack assuming it was a game all by its self, but come to find out I need the sims 3!

I have all the sims games and pets it's still incredibly buggy! I would return it, and use the money to get the sims 3 base game. I dont think pets is worth money until they fix the bugs and it has a huge horrible can't play it bugs. Also, all the sims games have serial numbers they can only be active on 1 computer at a time so someone couldnt just send it to you or they wouldnt be able to play it
