So I got a great deal on spandex fabric at Joann's, so, of course, I bought some spandex to make my new tail! I should've taken a few before/after pix, but I'll post pix as I go!

I'm painting with fabric paint pens, adding a dorsal and added some stingers to the flukes.

I got my degree in fashion design a few years back but this is my first return to my machine in as long! So hopefully no mistakes.

So the ankle seam came out wonky. I made an amateur mistake and didn't account for the narrowness around my ankles when attaching the tail.

The fabric is slightly thin, but it's exactly what I wanted. Dries quicker.

I am very pleased with the end result. I'm letting the paint dry for 24 hours and then off to try it out in the ocean!
