Mer fanfiction

So I am going to be writing fanfiction centered around my fave band but I wanna incorporate mermaids/mermen some how. Any suggestions and or advice would be awesome :3

My old fan fiction is strangely popular lol. When I was young I wrote an in between story for the little mermaid movies and I logged on one day to see it had millions of views and comments. But as an adult I was so embaressed by the poor quality I deleted it lol. I wrote fan fiction with a friend in junior high like, 16 years ago!!! But we just saw it as us writing scripts for our fan shows. We didn't understand there was a whole world of fan fiction out there!!!

When I discovered the internet I wrote 100s but I was so embaressed by them as an adult haha they were cringe worthy so I deleted them.

I've written a handful as an adult as a creative writing outlet now but I'm not very involved in the ff communities. Even having been around that long I don't know what half the terms mean lol. Slash isn't my thing but it sure drives the ff movement [emoji14]

Lol awesome story Raina xD.... my issue is combining the two into a believable thing ya know? like would the female main character already be a mer but have legs on land and he discovers her secret or something? like how would they meet and blah blah..... see what Im saying? Idk how to make the two mesh >.<

That one is too overdone. I would have it be something unexpected...

She is a mermaid who ran away from home and is hiding on land and she is working for him, but he decides to get an aquarium added to the business/his house and when the aquarium pros show up they're actually mermen social workers who have been looking for her and traced her to there... They throw her into their truck's tank and lock her in, forcing her to take mer form and then that is when he walks in and has to save her--as a mermaid!

Or...

Ever since she was a little girl her parents have tried to keep her away from water. They made her completely paranoid about it, instilling a terrible fear of drowning in her and she won't even come near a pool. The guy is a lifeguard at the local rec center where she works helping at a kid's day camp. He is always strutting his stuff with his shirt off, teasing her and trying to get her into the water, but she's terrified. Finally he talks her into it an BOOM! Once totally covered with water she turns into a mermaid... Unfortunately that does NOT mean that she can swim or that she's any less afraid of water, so he has to help her.

Something just a little different than "I've got a secret", maybe?

Seaglass Siren the band is 5 Seconds of Summer and Seavanna those are great ideas but how would I make those work with the band? the member she would be paired with is named Michael btw

they go on a boat to film for a music video and one of them falls off the boat? maybe. just throwing ideas here.

RAINA OMFG thats frigging AWESOME holy crap I LOVE that idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like she could get the part of the mermaid and on set the day of the shoot they tell her shes actually gonna be in the water in a tail and she flips and runs away or something and Mikey tracks her to the beach and discovers she really is a mer and maybe he turns into a merman some how? idk maybe something like Mako Mermaids?
