They look like rising tailmakers and I was just wondering if anyone has purchased from them/knows of them? I love Mernation and Merbellas tails but I just don't think they're in my price range right now. These seem like more affordable options and I love supporting new artists(:

I'm in love with the paint job on the second tail, but am concerned by how thin the fluke looks in the modeling picture? I think I may have seen a thread for the last artist, too, but I can't find it.

EvaTail and Finspo have been talked about extensively on the forums. Evatail is a Russian tailmaker and has been the subject of controversy for stealing Finfolk's fluke design, and basically being your go-to tailmaker for a bad knock-off.

Finspo is a resurrection of Merberry, owned by Amanda Avery. You can read the reviews and controversy behind Merberry by using the search function.

Unfortunately it seems you really do "get what you pay for" with mermaid tails. Mernation and Mermaid Jessica both make better quality tails in that price range, though! [emoji225]

Hi, Sassenach! My MerNation tail (the super bright orange and yellow one) was actually less than a few of these tails. You should email them. I know they've worked with mers extensively that weren't ready to order yet. They're really responsive and do everything they can within your budget.

From my understanding, they decided to come back to hopefully clean up their act and make enough off of new tail orders to pay back the people they'd stolen from, but I'm not 100% sure how many people actually got refunds or the tails they were owed, as I haven't heard anything either way. I'd be reeeaaaaally wary with them.

TFArtistry seems like a cool person, they came up on the Mermaids In Canada FB page, and even joined the group to answer questions people had; they're originally a special effects artist and are still fairly new to tailmaking (I think their first one was originally an art project? I might be wrong!). I don't know of anyone who actually has one of their tails, since they just started out, but they've got a lot of potential and I'm pretty optimistic about them.

This isn't something you listed, but Tigg's Tails by Fifi Tigg on Etsy makes gorgeous tails for adults starting from $1200 I think. There is a thread about them here, and I know Kaitwoman (though I think she changed her name) and Yulia are ordering from her. Though if you have to pick from here, I'd probably go for TFArtisty first, then Finspo second. I like how she's trying to turn over a new leaf.
