Has anyone sequinned a fin fun?

Now that i got a batch order for my company I just gotta know. Anyone ever sequin a fin fun? I am having a serious moment here where I feel like if I fancy one up with sequins I could use it for dry gigs and not put my silicone through such trouble!

Since it is fabric, if you did sequin it I would suggest having a lining so the thread doesn't make you itchy. Are you planing on doing it yourself or having someone do it for you?

That fabric is so thin i would worry about longevity, but for dry only i think it could work...

I read of a young lady that sequinned her fluke. But I don't know if she did end up sequinning the whole tail.

tights are a good bet to keep it from being itchy.
If you did sequin it you'll need really sturdy thread since the fabric is so thin and stretchy that the stitches would probably pull apart when the tail was being put on.
but I think any kind of sequins would work fine.
You'd need a cast of your legs (duct tape works great) inside the tail to keep in from shrinking in size while you sequin it.

Raina, you could sequin it just as you could with any fabric. If you go for a solid sequin covering like Hannah's tails I would recommend using an elastic thread that stretches with the fabric otherwise all of the stitching will prohibit it from having the usual stretch. If you go sporadically with the sequins for a little glisten it shouldn't matter. There's also quite a few materials you could use to add to the fin to bring some sparkle to that area as well if you want something different but coordinating on the fluke.

I think you could just se the sequins on like you would a normal garment, keeping in mind the stretch, using strong thread, and multiple stiches per sequin.
