Anticipation

So my friend and I started making my tail this week. We worked on it for two nights in a row. We have most of the pieces all cut out, just need to cut out a few more fin pieces to go around the fluke area. It is taking a lot longer than we thought but that is because I had these visions of what I wanted but no artistic ability to draw them and show her. Thank goodness she knows me well enough to get the idea of what I want. It is just a fabric tail, but I really wanted to add some flowy pieces to it, and I have no hips, so I wanted something at the hip to even out my figure a bit. It's all looking really pretty so far. We just need to make those few little fins and sew it all together. Unfortunately that probably won't happen till next week. My friend has so much going on right now, I feel guilty taking up her time, plus her machine is having issues so she needs to take it in to be looked at this weekend. Of course if worse comes to worse I can always take my machine to her house.
I am trying to be patient, but arrrrggghhh I so want it to be done so I can go swim in it!
And...tonight I get to meet with the other mermaids that I will be performing with! So EXCITED!
