I'm curious to hear opinions! I am currently hand sewing sequins onto a tail and it is absolutely taking forever.

Are there any downfalls to gluing the scales or is that something that I can actually do? I'm a little nervous about the sequins popping off a bunch.

I've never done it myself, but lots of people use e600 to attach sequins to their tails. I don't think there's much to worry about if you use e6000, those sequins won't go anywhere!!

If you glue the whole tail it might be a bit stiffer than if you sew the sequins

I think it depends on the material. I beleive Raina was/is having her older fabric tail fixed up with sequins and when they tried to glue it down, as soon as it stretch the sequins would pop off. I feel like it will all depend on what you are using as a base.

Neoprene for the base!

I'm doing both. The 16mm I'm sewing and the 12mm gluing but I'm only on the fluke where it won't bend much while moving since it's stiff with the monofin but I'm thinking areas like the ankles, knees, and waist I'm going to only sewn use in case to avoid that stiffness. Unfortunately that's as far as my experience goes
