Looking to Commission a Mermaid Logo

(Fairly sure I put this in the right place, sorry if not.)
I have just re-branded myself on most of my social networks and will now be going as Wisty the Mermaid! Exciting! But also annoying and time consuming. I figured that the best way to make this transition would be to commission a logo with my new name that I could use on my different sites and as a watermark on any images. I tried asking on other sites, but I realized that the mer-community would have the best idea of what a mermaid's logo might look like. That being said, I am not sure what I want, how to go about asking for a logo to be designed, how any of this works, and how much is a fair price. I'm not thinking like "oh yeah lol 5 bucks should do it" but I don't have any income right now, so I'm not going to be able to fork out cash. I tried doing it myself and I'm just not happy with it. Is anyone here willing to do a logo for me? It's just gotta include my new name, and some mermaid indications... I like swirly whimsical things... idk bros, idk. comment here, pm me, I'm aware that I might sound dumb, I just need the thing and I have money for the thing. Oh and if any of you have a particular artist friend in mind... Also I'm on Ritalin right now which i haven't been taking for a long time so excuse me if I'm weird today :) :rollover:

What other ideas?
Could'a changed the top, thinkin more direction.

I know a very talented, non-mer related artist that does fantastic logos. I've commissioned a logo off of him once before and it was perfect. I payed about $100 for it and got it as a raw file I could easily use to edit into any document or picture.
