They have this complex where they have to make sure youre not real just in case.i mean they know youre not... well... yeah they know... yeah. better ask tho.

Parents do it allllllll the time. I actually built it into my booking agreement that they need to stop. lol

I get this even as a recreational mer! When littlies scream, "She's real! She's real" Sometimes I get another swimmer or another parent say the same thing. I then say, "Well if that girl thinks I'm real, then I'm bloody real. Cos I ain't going over there and squashing her dream just because you say I'm not."

Parents do it allllllll the time.

I have had kids ask the parent, "dad/mom, is she real?" and the parent saying, "well, you have to go and ask her"; which is something that I read as "they don't want to lie to their kid, but they don't want to ruin the fantasy for them either".

OMG if anyone (kid or adult) ripped off one of my fins I'd probably scream and burst into tears. Not because it hurts (though that would probably convince any little kid that it really really did) but because of how much work and $$$ went into making, painting, and attaching those little beauties.

Then I would take the fin back and smack 'em with it. BAD HUMAN, BAD!
