Hi everybody!
I am currently planning everything I need to create my 1st neoprene&sequins tail, and I still have to decide which monofin to use...
After some research, I'm thinking about going for Mahina's Merfin because, firstly it's eco-friendly, also it's about the size & shape I want, and lastly, it's not too expensive. (compared to a competitor monofin for example)
I've seen videos of the fin being used in the water and it looks pretty good.
But I still have some questions left.
- I'm wondering if any of you had ever used it inside a neoprene tail?
- Did the fin broke at some point, and if it did, about how long did it last?
- Is it easy to cut/re-shape it?
Thank you very much for your help~:rollover:

Fifi Tigg from Tigg's tails uses them in neoprene hybrid tails, and cuts them too!

@Wesley > Thanks sweetie! I think I'm really gonna go for it, I've already done some image tests to re-shape it, I think #2 or #3 would be the best shapes for the tail I want to make.
#1 would probably be difficult to do achieve when sewing neoprene (>_<)

You can cut these any shape really and don't sew the bottom of the tail just glue it and leave some drainage holes at the bottom to allow the water to flow through ;)

Hi Fifi!
Thanks for your reply (here and to the message ^-^)
I was planning to close the bottom of the fluke with a zipper so that I can take out the fin for everything to dry more quickly, I still have to figure out where to put it so that I can leave drainage holes as you advised~
Thanks again everyone \(^o^)/

29603Option no. 3 looks absolutely fantastic ... Best of all the altered versions in my opinion... Wish mahina or other monofin makers could come out with this one[emoji4][emoji106][emoji106]

Thanks again everyone \(^o^)/I'd suggest strong sturdy snap buttons or marine grade velcro... They snap buttons do work really well as a merfolk suggested to me back in 2018 as I used to face the problem of the fluke keep on coming undone while swimming at a river in a kids tail
