Ooo! I love the Purple Yellow one! I will have to give them another go... And the red one is really really lovely!
I have to wait till they have the actual tails in stock... Who knows how different the colors might be with a gif and a fabric.

Yes, those look very promising.
They're evolving!

they look very flashy but I bet they'll be so cool once printed out
Kinda cool. Are these from that design contest that was held about a year ago?
I feel like the rainbow one will get really popular :)

Could be that they're from the contest, as those designs now all "belong" to them.
I hope they won't produce a silvery-white one (I voted for the Ice Queen design, iirc),
coz then I would feel compelled to buy it lol.
You mean all the designs that were submitted are now owned by Magictail? Grr, hopefully they don't use them, I've seen companies do that.
Haha but I agree with you on that silvery-white one. If it had just a touch of blue I would probably snatch it up :p

Yea, in the fine print was "all submitted designs become property of Magictail".
And when they showed the most upvoted 10-20 designs after the contest, none of the authors was credited, they had put the Magictail watermark on all designs instead.
Eh well.
You would have liked the Ice Queen too! It did have some blue on it, sort of like a snowy tail iced over.
I wouldn't want to see white tails in mass production though if I'm honest xD
Ouch aha. Glad I didn't enter!

I don't mind, considering no one at my pool wears a tail.

I have the impression that they are trying to have more colorful/bright designs like FinFun, but I personally do not like the three new colors. I would love an ice white and blue design though.
Re the facebook link: I have seen there is ANOTHER school for mermaids in Spain. We have 3 already... My only hope is that people don't hear about the ban in Canada or you bet we will be having one of those in place here so as to not have mermaids in pools.
And, the Mermaid Beauty Pageant... the model is wearing the tail backwards

The new designs I don't think are from the contest, I don't recognize them at all.

I found someone on youtube that has the Flash design. It looks very pretty and the colors pop underwater.

Reminds me a little bit of Melissa's UV tail :)

It does a little, but it is not an exact copy. The colors are different, the fluke is different too.

Oh no, most definitely not :) It's just the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

I think its the yellow parts on both tails. I thought I'd seen it somewhere else too.

Looking really nice in water, and the colours don't seem to be altered in the shop.
Tempting.
The MT looks better than the mentioned Melissa tail too, which is a hoot considering what the 2 have cost
The swimming "style" of the blonde girl gave me eye bleeding tho.

I did think of the Mertailor one at first but I couldn't find any pictures of his one :/ So I thought I may have imagined it and got the tail makers mixed up

She looks ok when she's not swimming with arms in front. Its when she uses her arms, it looks like she's kicking with legs.

Did Magictail stiffen up their monofins? Both of mine (before they broke) were very flowy in the water but it doesn't look like that's the case with the small girl. I would say she just isn't a powerful swimmer but she was going at an average speed.

We could ask Talia. She has the newer Magictail monofin.

I think mine is the newest model (I got it last October) and it's definitely very stiff. compared to my first one its not as floppy and flowy.

MT made their monofins thicker to help with the cracking issues. Thus the newer fins are alot less flowy.

I'm well aware, but not only is such extreme knee-kicking bad for your joints (and possibly back), it also does not give much propulsion.
I found it hurtful to watch.
And yea, I know there are quite a few mers around who can't swim any better.
Guess I'm a mersnob.
That's good, I bought two monofins and they both broke :( Maybe I'll look into getting a new one...

I've seen so many videos of kids in their magictails swimming like that and it's so cringeworthy.

I'm a snob like that too, even though I understand that people don't learn it in an instant.
I hope I don't swim as badly every time I'm in a tail.
