I feel like we have a lot of mers in the community who seem to disappear off the face of the planet, and I'm really just curious to see why. I took a break for a year and I feel like so much has happened.

I remember Kanti was constantly posting and made silicone tails, haven't seen her in a while. She seemed really nice and into mermaiding.
Kae-Leah was one of the first people I really noticed on MerNetwork, but it's sad she was banned for a really long time. Does anyone know what happened with her?
I was also curious about Illonka. Last I heard she was working on a sequin tail for Raina.
And then Stevi from FishButts. Anything at all from her? My friend bought a tail from her but never heard anything from her at all...

I thought it said she was banned on top of her avatar? Well in any case I'm glad she is doing fine. She was very sweet!

There were a few other people I talked to ages ago that I've never seen around anymore, but I assume they just left.

Kae-Leah isn't banned (profile: http://mernetwork.com/index/member.php?73-Princess-Kae-Leah). Maybe she was a while back if she did something to break the rules (like harassment) but that would only be for a short period of time (like a few weeks at most, it's only usually a few days to a week depending on the severity of what happened).

Other than that, it's typical that mers go in and out of the community a lot. It's usually just that life gets in the way, or they don't feel as attached to the community anymore. Some come back and go in and out, some don't come back. It's also frequent that some people will be really active for a while and then get burnt out on the whole mer thing. *shrug* It's been a common pattern over the years.
