Hello Mer family!
I am currently saving for the purchase of a full silicone tail... Finfolk probably ( but maybe not). I would love to find someone out here that is roughly around my size that has a silicone tail that I could try? Buying a tail is such a huge investment... you wouldn't buy a car with out a test drive would you? hehe.
I am 5ft 4 roughly
119lbs
waist: 26
hip: 35
I live in the south bay area... santa clara. The International swim center is really close to our home! Could be a good place to swim and hold future mermaid hangouts :)
Thank you for reading!

Honestly, good luck finding someone who will let you try out their tail. I live in San Jose and have a partial silicone but I really wouldn't let anyone try it, it's my baby. Have you tried fabric tails yet? It isn't recommended to jump right into silicone.

I agree, with mermaidofthelabyrinth, no way is anyone hopping into my merbellas while I still use it. My fishbutt is three years old, and only 4 people have been in that besides me, and it was because of necessity. If you haven't gotten a fabric one yet, do that just because learning to swim with your legs together is the main thing with tails, silicone is heavier, but I think glides well in the water.

Thank you for your response.
Actually yes, I do have a fabric tail! Took it to Hawaii with me... even hiked it down to Waipio Valley and wore it on a black sand beach. While I was down there I met a woman who was fascinated and I let her try on my tail for pictures, making her "dreams of being a mermaid come true".
I totally understand and respect your choice to not be ok with a stranger trying on your tail. I understand what a huge investment it is and the fact that it is your baby. Honestly
When I do have enough saved up I will be ready for one. I am a very strong swimmer and have lots of practice with my monofin.
I wish you many wonderful swim in your tail <3

Thom Shouse rents tails and is out of SoCal. MermaidRentals is his company name.
