View Full Version : Hydra Monofin anywhere other than Scubastore?

I'm making my friend's tail, and she wants her fluke to be completely transparent as well as flowy and elegant in the water, so after doing some research, I decided to try to get a Hydra since it's the only monofin I've heard of that's transparent and flowy. Unfortunately, the only place I've found that sells them is Scubastore, and their shipping is literally $101 with no other shipping options available. Does anyone know of any other monofins that are transparent, and/or any shops that sell the Hydra at its usual price ($40-60) without insane shipping charges?
Thanks in advance for your response! :D

Isn't Swiminn one of the places with $100 shipping? Or am I thinking of the wrong site?

If I remember right shipping was around $73US and $30CAN duty fees for 2 fins and socksvia DHL. The tracking was amazing.

Crud, it is! When I looked at it on my phone, I thought it allowed for a really cheap ground delivery option, but sadly no. D;
I appreciate all of the suggestions! I'll sort through these and see which is the most affordable! <3

Have you tried calling any of the scuba shops in the DFW area to see if they can order it for you? If it's a store on the Dallas side I can pick it up and meet you somewhere in between so you don't have to drive as far.

Call the guys at SCUBA Toys (http://www.scubatoys.com) in Carrollton. They are very helpful and nice.

What kind of feedback would you give DHL? I'm looking at dhl canada (https://dhl-canada.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html) and here honestly the reviews are very different. I realize it's completely case by case, but still....
