Pod of the South Facebook Group

Did you guys know we have a Facebook group? It's much easier to keep up with posts and meet ups there. I'm one of the admins. Please pop over and join if you haven't already.

We are trying to plan a meet up for the northern members of the pod in July. Will also plan a meet up around sand time for the southern members.

Working on lots of stuff to help us plan better meet ups so more memebers can join.


Locations of members are needed. City and state.
Also list the exact addresses of you favorite springs/swimming locations.

Please give this info on the fb group. I check that more often.

For the mers in the pod of the south not following the facebook group, I'm trying to plan a meetup for the Florida Mers.

I'm thinking Alexander Spring, Juniper Springs, or Silver Glen Springs as a possible location.

If you know of any better springs that Gulf Coast Mers and Space Coast, Titusville area mers can get to easy, let me know.

you must be currently a resident in the pod of south to be accepted. When you officially move I will then accept your request.

If you were recently denied it was most likely because I was unable to verify you live in the pod of south area. You must actually live in the south to be a member as per Iona. If your fb page doesn't state it i usually deny the request as its hard to verify that your page is not spam or bot. please message me on fb through my mermaid page so i can add you. I am online currently and will get to it relatively quick. Sorry for the confusion. I do my best to protect our members from scammers and other issues.

As far as a big meet up is concerned, I'm hosting a meetup I named the Nautical MerGathering for an easy search. If anyone wants to be a part of it next year. Join the group I made and let me know what you want. I have polls up and everything. The meetup is for everyone, but it's something I'm doing once a year in Florida. I've also got a group set up called Merfolk Meetups to help include more people. Still, it's more like a bulletin board of things people want to do if anything. I wish I could make it to more meetups, but I have my hands full right now and can't do much far away :(. I just thought I would share this in case it helps.
