Hi everyone! My name is Mermaid Rachel and I am the Head Mermaid at the Dive Bar in Sacramento, California and the Norcal Representative for Sheroes Entertainment in LA. I wanted to join Mernetwork to post about upcoming events for both Sheroes and Dive Bar, in case any local mers were interested :) I'm pretty quiet, so I probably won't post a ton - just business things.

I'm also pretty tech-unsavy...so please bear with me as I navigate this new world of forums! Thanks, fish friends.

So what has been one of your most favorite mermaid moments you have had?

Thank you! That is a photo of one of my favorite mermaid moments. That's my sixty-something year old mom as the fairy :D She was in a harness off the side of the boat when we took that. I love having my mom on mer-adventures with me.

I don't know if I could pick only a couple favorite mer-moments...a few spring to mind. I definitely love our Dive Bar Mermaid for a Night Contest (seeing the winners swim is really rewarding), performing with my team, and just being UNDERWATER.

How about you? What are your favorite mer-moments?

I haven't really had many mer-moments yet, but so far one of my favorites was making my first fabric tail because I have never really used a sewing machine so it was a fun new experience. :)

I hope to be making more favorite mer-moments next month on a trip to a nearby spring. I will bring my tail and it will be my first time swimming in a spring!

No, her monofin is snapped fully in half. We have tentative plans to resurrect her...we'll have to see!
