It's too bad that they are going to run it at the same time as shark week. It would make everybody happier (and more money) to run them back to back. Awesome commercial though :)

That's hilarious! I'd watch it just for the refreshing honesty (if I had a TV...) Also, hopefully National Geographic would be a little more accurate and less sensationalized than Shark Week.

I agree with Marlin it'd be better to not compete with the other shark program, but then I've never seen it.
Maybe it's bad, and this one is better? :p

Except that their ratings would tank while the other channel is doing their shark thing. This way they get to try and hold onto some of the audience that they lose with Shark Week.

NatGeo Wild has also run the "Fish Bowl" during times another network ran that other football thing. Yeah, I watched the fishies just to mess with the Nielsen ratings. ;)
