i just found out yesterday that we will have a hopi tribe member talking about water conservation. i thought that was really cool.
and we were offered money for the copper mine place but their terrible with water. i dont know the situation well but they said they use water and once its used, there isno way to filter it clean again and they are going to make a man hole to dump the water. so the good news is that our event manager denied the money even though it would have been useful to have. WE KEPT OUR MORALS! :yay:

haha! pennies. i hope so too.

there should be two photographers there so i pray i get some great photos. today i went to the site and it was a cold windy day. i really hope it wont be like that on the day of the event. that would be awful.

latest update:
the guy who is supposed to make the pond for me to sit in is not responding to any of our emails or calls. thats absolutely innapropriate! im trying to contact him in every way possible. phone,email,possibly a letter,and going to his workplace.
if i dont have the pond i have to figure out another source of water that looks good.kiddie pools wont cut it.they would need to be well placed and i dont want the kids in the water either.my mertender should care to that but i dono.just in case.

any ideas on an alternate pool of water? i plan on using only a few inches of water and to reuse it in the plants around the building.

If they would let you dig a hole (if it was outside)
I would say dig big enough hole, put some pond lining on it, and fill it up with water.
but if that's not the case, getting a really big inflatable pool type thing and decorating it with fabric/fake stones/etc. might be a good quick option ....

its a nice idea but digging on state property is a no-no.i think ill bring a pool and fabric for back up. thats great,thank you! we just got ahold of him and we should still have a pond.

ok so we got ahold of the pond guy and figured out what its gonna look like. problem is thats its a pathetic little thing that wont do me any good.im so mad. i wont look good at all and its awful. im so pissed. he cant make it any bigger unless we had the whole week to do it. do we have the whole week? guess not cuz the director wasnt there and we left before she could get there.i feel like i went to all those meetings for nothing but a pathetic excuse for a "wishing well". and we are false advertising. it says "watch her swim" im not going to be able to swim in 4 inches of water. so mad!
i really hope next weeks gig is better. i gotta get the money to make my pool.

I'm sorry you're having such trouble with the pond guy. That just sounds like bad business on his part.
