yes to the stealing of tail designs, mermaid photos, and art. cant stand it. I dont follow the mermaid "art" pages because they NEVER credit. and cant stand it when instagram accounts just steal everyones photos to make themselves look more popular.

I had Alice Hoffman's publishing company (the lady who did aquamarine) take my photos for a BOOK COVER without asking! better believe they ended up paying me royalties.

Then there was the guy who stole Syphira's tail design, sent it to Jazz, and claimed it was his even when she showed all her proof that it wasnt. And he went on a swearing rant.

Merfest- we missed you there. :( I dont know if there will be another merfest (I am strongly leaning toward no cuz o shit I know) but there should be other conventions and some local. :) I got to sing on stage with Hannah. Mother of Mermaids? haha :D She's super nice in person and kind. Send her the video :D

No one was ignoring people with the fabric tails. INfact, Tikva was the most photographed mer person there. No one knew him going in. He was involved in everything. He was in every media outlet... in his yellow fabric tail in every freaking photos. I think the issue was more that people were expecting individual attention, when really it's up to people to jump in and say hi and meet people like any other convention. In fact fabric tails were being rented out left right and centre. But I know of a few people who were just horrible in general and tried to blame it on that. lol


I love it "let me be your voice" I feel like I've been doing that now for 7 years and I am so happy to pass the torch and have you do it haha you're way more entertaining. You already know my big ol list!

I think the bestest thing about fabric tails, printed, painted and plain, is that no two are alike, even pre-made scale tails can be decorated differently. Yes you may get similar looks but when it comes down to how it was made, materials used etc, there will always be differences. Unless one has a clone out there, who can sew exactly like you, mistakes and all, every fabric tail is unique. I don't talk about other materials as I don't have experience making or swimming in them. I've yet to see another mer, young or old, in the same fabric tail as me.
