My best friend Lisa is not only lovely and sweet, she's also a talented writer! She has self-published several books that are available on both Kindle and dead tree edition, one of which is about mermaids! It's always been her dream to be a professional writer, but unfortunately like most who dream of making a living in the arts she's had a hard time making much income from it, which I is a real shame because I honestly prefer her writing to some published authors who write about similar themes. Lisa is openly asexual, like me, so her work is completely free of sexual themes, instead focusing on the emotional aspects of romance. She is a huge fan of both the original Anderson fairy tale of "The Little Mermaid" and the Disney film, so what inspired her to write "Of Land And Sea" was to flesh out the characters in the original story and clarify some misconceptions people have about it, all without contradicting or disrespecting the original tale in any way.
