Mermaid of the week/mermaid weekly

Exciting news! Someone i know from school thought that my mermaid life was interesting and offered to make me a website! Ah! So we are brainstorming awesome ideas to make it somethig enjoyable for everyone and not just me:P

So i wanted to ask your help!!? I was thinking of making a "mermaid/merman of the week" but instead of having an interview type set up where all the focus is on a mer as an individual... A mer would be chosen and then given free range to talk about anything they desire... Should it be a story of the sea, ocean facts, economy topics, myths, fairy tales, etc. If you get picked you get to talk!!! :)

I would like to make it fair as well. Everyone would be given an equal amount of word count give or take a few if necessary. And the picking would be randomized!!!!!

Also, i dont want garbage. Some of you might have strong feelings, but strong words will not be tolerated! Your words should be child appropriate!!:)

I'd love to be part of this, but I'm not sure which topic would be most appropriate for this. There are many things that are important to me and I'd like to talk about: my FictionPress series "Nerissa Sanderson, The Part-Time Mermaid of Sunshine Valley, CA", my strong stance on reducing seafood consumption, asexuality, autism, what?

Oh good lord I would definatly talk about money and finacial tips, maybe even how to set up a busness. I love money talk (read blogs about it daily)! I love this idea though! You should run with it :)

smart idea! im big on hydrodynamics and swimming conditioning. i could talk about that. also know alot about the veterinary science of fish.

this is awesome! the more variety the better!! I think one week should be about one topic! so for example, kae-leah, you could talk about your series in one week and then have the opportunity to talk again in another week! i'll just keep submitting your names into a "hat system"

That's very cool. And there are so many topics that can be covered. One that I feel strongly about, and that pertains to us all, is the sense of community found in this lifestyle. We are all, truly, perfect strangers, but I feel that if I traveled to where some of you are, we could easily get along and chat as if we were pretty decent friends for a time. The support I've found for each other just reading much of what's in these forums is really just a wonderful thing.
