So I (finally) got myself a Fin Fun mermaid tail. Woohoo! I don't have it with me yet to try on because it's shipped to my grandmother's house, but I'll be going to visit her soon. It's a long story why I need to know now before I get to swim in the tail, but the only bathing suit I have has the long strings on each side of the bikini bottom. I was wondering if I should buy a pair of bathing suit bottoms that don't have the strings on the sides? I know I could buy one w/o the strings anyway, but then I'd be out $7 if I really don't have to hahaha.
This isn't a big important question or anything, but I'm worried it'd look funny having two bulges on the sides of my hips.
Thx!

I have a Fusion Silicone tail from the Mer-tails and the body is made with fabric (only the fluke and fins are made of dragonskin) and I never had problems with the bathing suit strings so I think you won't have too 😉

One piece is better. No stupid fiddlying with a swim bra or worrying if your boobs gonna fall out when you do tricks.
Did you know you can swim out of your bikini pants if you go fast enough?

You can get a fabric tail around your knees if you use a strong enough stroke.

Thx guys, :) but I'm only asking if I should get ones w/o strings or not. I've decided I will get a new bathing suit anyway for a few other reasons as well.

I have a Fin Fun tail and also have a bikini bottom with strings on the side. It's noticeable, as little bulges on either side. Get a normal bikini bottom that is smooth. Or better yet, get the scaly ones from Fin Fun that match your tail. That way if your tail rides down for whatever reason, people will see more scales and not a non-mermaidy bikini bottom. That's what I do.
