Yeah, I wanted to post photos of my venetian mer-mask, but all my photo files are too big. I've also noticed a number of photos that come in as enormous in other people's albums, far too large to see what you're looking at.

They need to set a max limit at 600 x 400 pixels and about 75KB for decent sized pics.

I cant get any photos to upload anymore, regardless of how small I make them.

I'm having the same problem, even drawings and sketches are being rejected, can anything be done about it?

You could try changing the file type. That's what I've been doing in addition to re-sizing my images. Maybe .gif works better on these forums than .jpg.

Previously the maximum allowable file sizes for images were really small because I was concerned that if images were too big there would be server problems. I just increased the maximum allowable image sizes. We'll see if it causes any errors.

Thank you for changing that- I've been wanting to post pictures for a while <3
i dont even see a button where to upload pics. only the add album, and after adding an album and description...all my photos get turned down because image size...so i fixed it...then it was file size. the only solution i know is using irfanview. are there any others? or should i just redownload irfanview to this computer?
yay!!! made all the pics smaller by another 100 pixels across and they all worked just fine. but somehow now when i click them they all open huge!!! maybe i should make them even smaller? or is this a site glitch? cuz i have seen other mers discussing bigger than screen fitting images.
