FIRST... today, I just got my VERY FIRST batch of neoprene! so excited! it cost about $60 for 3 yards at joanns (in case anyone wanted to know )

I'm going to be trying to build myself a silicone tail.. but it will be a very long process. i'll do it as I can afford it, slowly piecing together the pieces!

so I won't be able to really show it off probably until summer time :(

MY QUESTION:

i've been experimenting with some silicone lately (as some of you may know) and I've recently applied paint to a cured batch... the paint isn't responding well. basically, it just peels right off and cracks with every move. :/ how do i stop this? is it possible to stop it?

any answers would be great! I know people paint onto this stuff! isn't that how all of the realistic tails work? anyway, if you could help i would be forever grateful! <3 <><

You need special paint for silicone - like psycho paint. Otherwise you need to pigment the silicone when you're mixing it before you put it in the mold.
