2012 Polar Bear Dip

So, my family participated in the 2012 Polar bear dip! It's when you jump into the winter ocean on january 1st to raise money for charity. We raised money for feed nova scotia. (food bank) Originally I was hoping to do it in a tail, but they have strict safety rules, so next year Im going to do it in a shell top, drawn on scaled tights, and maybe a pair of flippers, LOL. So my dad and sister did it, and my sister's best friend. It was -6 temp, so about 21 for you Americans. Note that the coast guard members in the water are wearing dry suits that have air pumped into them to keep the people warm. Volunteer fire fighters and police and EMTs were on sight just to be sure.
