Folkestone Mermaid Festival UK, August 8-9

Just wondering if anyone from the community is going to the Folkestone Mermaid Festival this weekend. I missed the Mermaid Parade in Brighton last month, and I'd really love to make it to this one.

Hiya! Yes - the Merlesque mermaids will be performing on Saturday at the Folkestone Mermaid festival! We'll be taking part in the parade, then doing meet and greet, storytelling and our mermaid cabaret act in the ampitheatre :)

There doesn't seem to be much information online about the festival this year. There's barely anything on the Folkestone Festival website and I couldn't find a Facebook page or event for it. Do you know where the parade is starting from?

We are having a lovely time at the Mermaid Festival! Met the lovely Merlesque ladies, though Juniper was too shy to really interact with them. My 1920s mermaid walking outfit is not as comfortable as I'd like, but looks great!
