So none of us slept well haha. We met Iona at the airport, did some groceries, came home and made an awesome brunch and put all the tails together, ate, chatted, then crashed haha.

She's still resting right now but we're planning on just taking it easy these first few days.

Iona and I have the same illness but you all have some treatments in the US over the counter that we don't have here! So she brought me some stuff to try and I am excited to test it out. We're both on a really restrictive diet, but hers is worse than mine so it's tricky finding things we can both eat. We're going to get pho for supper baha :D

So we had a pretty easy day yesterday, picked Iona up, hung out and chatted, took naps, went for Pho and stayed up late working on crafty stuff :D
Charlie decided to be an @$$hole and meow and scratch at all the doors last night -_- We watched Jazz's show together too

Planning on taking today easy as well so Iona has a chance to get a sleep schedule going, then off for fun tomorrow!

So I tried on our company's blue tail so I could match Iona. Turns out it is too small and short for me, was super painful to wear because it sat right on my bladder which is inflamed from IC. So I had to grab a belt so I could push it down to my hips. But even so we got a few really nice photos. :)

Finally together. Thanks everyone for making it happen!

We spent Wed and Thurs just sorta chilling out so Iona could adjust to the schedule. Friday we slept in, made lunch, got all dolled up and headed to Mermaid Nessie's to get some of these photos. We made dinner, then went for a swim in the warm bay at night. Pregnant Mermaid Mimi (3 weeks til her baby!) saved a little boy from drowning!

We had a splash and then came back for a bonfire!

SO today we went to see Mermaid K. It was such a tear jerker!

We swam up to her dock while she ran down to see us. She didn't know we were coming. All her presents from the mermaids were all over the dock. She still isnt allowed to swim. We visited with her for a while and then went to open her gifts, then we used mermaid magic to have legs and visit her home. I was so happy to have Iona with me it was so magical. The gifts from mermaids were overwhelming and beautiful. Her mom cried reading all the letters. They are planning on sending thank you cards to everyone. It was really moving.

Miss K has lost the hearing in one of her ears and is now partially deaf. We took a video and you may notice in the video (once we upload it) that she doesn't always respond. it's because she can't hear sometimes.

Miss K showed me all around her room and we played with her mermaid treasures and had dinner. She had lots of kisses for Iona and I and hugs and holding our hands.

After dinner we went back to the ocean to watch fireworks, when the last one flew I told her to make a wish. She said, "I wish Raina and her friend didn't have to go!" ahhh crying.

it was so beautiful I am still emotionally overwhelmed and I am so thankful I had Iona with me. I'll be posting this in Iona's Halifax thread as well.

The video will take a while but she loved her gifts so much and everyone can watch her open them. Iona and I also took some beautiful shots in the ocean.

Her mom taught me how to clean out her bag and how it works, so that someday I could be a super cool mermaid babysitter ;) We're also planning to work her birthday next month

I am so proud of her it's like night and day. She's come so far!!

Iona performed in the aquarium yesterday for the news with us, and then today worked a gig with us! Here's a few photos (our aquarium photos didnt turn out but a professional did photos that we'll have access to soon)
