I know there are some folk here who cross over as regular party entertainers from time to time, so I figured I'd post this. I spent many months writing this book as a comprehensive handbook for all party and event character performers and so far it's been doing VERY well in the party entertainer groups that have purchased it...I haven't had a single review that wasn't stellar! The word of mouth on it has actually increased demand to where the book is on back-order, but I just ordered a new printing again and have more in!
Just a warning: the section on MERMAIDS is very brief and basically straight-up tells you to BUY RAINA MERMAID'S BOOK instead, because I consider her book the gold standard for breaking into merwork and I wouldn't try to replicate any of what she's put into her writings. So if you're looking for JUST a straight mermaid book, buy hers. It's the best. I own it, I love it.
But if you're looking for a more in-depth handbook about non-mermaid character work, auditioning, arguing contracts, creating a routine, handling problem children, handling problem ADULTS, getting paid, promoting yourself, maintaining costumes and accessories, and even a helpful emergency index at the back for on-the-spot problems...that's this book! :)
