Sorry if this is somewhere else I didn't see it but I'm new so could have missed it. Can anyone tell me if this is a decent fin? The stream line shape from the pockets to the fin got me really interested in using it in a silicone tail I'm making but I don't want to waste my money on a not so good fin. Thanks

I have this fin, and I'm intending to use it in my new silicone tail I'm making. Their customer service is amazing, and they had it shipped out in 2 days instead of the 2 weeks on their website! I ordered from them off etsy, as it ended up slightly cheaper, plus I was more comfortable having the extra security. The fin itself is pretty well made, it swims well and comes with neoprene half boots, which are super handy. It is quite different to swimming with a plastic based monofin, which is what I had previously. My only complaint about it is that the foot pockets have a small gap between them and the fibreglass which fills up with water and is really hard to drain. The leaderfins people said it should be okay and not get mouldy though. If you have any questions about it, I am more than happy to help!

I have the Freeway style also from this company and I love it! Customer service was excellent. I did order 2 sizes larger per her suggestion as I told her it was for a silicone tail that would be worn for awhile at a time. I have had so much fun swimming in it that I haven't managed to put it in a tail yet.

No worries! Let me know if you want specific pictures or anything, some aspects of it are hard to see from the product photos.

I'd love to see some pics! The photos on the website are nice but it's always hard to tell from stock photos exactly what's going on :)

I didn't buy that fin but I did buy from that site and was happy with that.

I'll do my best to take some tonight, it's really hard photographing a black fin! Is there anything in particular you want to see?

Okay, so I took some general photos:

I asked for mine without the rubber strip on the bottom, but I think they may have put it on there anyway, you can see it in the photo of the back. In the last photo, you can also see how far the fibreglass comes up on your feet, which I feel gives you good power and reduces cramps in the arch of your foot (a problem which I have heard competitors have). The footpockets are quite tall, as you can see in the second photo, so I'm currently trying to devise a way to hide them as much as I can. Let me know if you want to see any other parts of the fin closer :)
