Hello from Suttgarts Mermaid!

Hello merfolks from MerNetwork!

My real name is Kim . I come from Stuttgart , Germany and wanted to introduce myself on here.
Ill go by the mer name "Shen" and liked Mermaids since I was around the age of 10.
It started with the famous TV Series H2O - Just Add water. Since I was a really bored kid and spend most of the time I was watching TV. But this Series was far the most intresting , especially since it was better than those cartoons and the Tails the actors had amazed me and still do. So I watched the Series and one of my friend did too , we always played in the water .
One was an dolphin the other an mermaid . My Friend could swim the dolphin kick really good , not like me. When I was smaller I was afraid of Water , even thought I loved swimming. (I couldnt swim and almost drowned once)
Then I started drawing mermaids , lots of them. I loved how merfolks could swim so good in water (I was always jealous at people who can swim) and explore the underwater world.

Im not owning a tail at the time (only two fins and a Monofin) but I wanted to start with my Silicone Tail that should be based off a leopard shark. (I know Silicone Tails for first timers arent great - I know the risk etc. But im an real artsy person and even if I werent to use it I would be really proud to have achieved to make an Tail.)

Also other hobbys of mine are Drawing , Singing , Sculpting. Mostly everything thats creative. I even started to think to make some small sketch Commission for you Merfolks uvu But Sadly theres not really a subforum for it.

Im swimming in Sindelfingens Hallenbad since theyre fine with Fins and Monofins also Tails if not too many people swim.
I really wish there would be more german mermaids haha.

Me too, wish we had something like the US do with meets and merfests and such xD

I thought you might go to the Sindelfingen pool, it's big and uses minimum chlorine.
How's the diving there?
All pools I ever went to are overcrowded, one really has to be on the lookout to not get injured.

Well we had the Miss Mermaid Germany once. Also the Sindelfingen Pool also sometimes has Mermaiding Days were the pool is only for Mermaiding purposes reserved.
But I really wish we had more , maybe if im getting my tail done then I could do a small meetup .

Well i never knew they used minimum chlorine. I chose it since its the earliest one that opens in Summer and since it has a big sports pool where I try to train my stamina.
Its great diving there! I was there yesterday and when youre early there are not many people. And some are even friendly when they see someone swmming in a monofin. Thought I get weird looks for the dolphin kicks .
Theres also the chance to reserve one line in the pool just for you , thats nice.

The proprietor is a mer herself and holds regular finswimming classes :)

Yes they have! But I havent seen one of the mermaiding days again. I should ask when they launch a new one.

Thats why I would really like to make one! Im sure we can learn alot from eacherother when swimming. (Im not good in diving or breath holding ;u; )

nice to meet you. :D

I'm a bit north of Stuttgart, Sindelfingen and Kornwestheim are about 1h to 1.30h away from me.
It would be great to swim a bit with other mers. I really should get more experience with my Hydra Monofin.
If there are finswimming- and mer-times in these places, it would be a great opportunity.
