Aloha! I don’t have a mer-name or a mer-sona fleshed out (yet!) but for now I can just be called Fayrn, it’s a popular SN I use in other forums so it’ll work out for now.
I have always loved the ocean and its creatures and swimming has been my thing that I love so much but I suck at. I actually wasn’t any more or less interested in mermaids until the second little mermaid movie came out.
I’ve been interested in real life mermaids since I saw mermaid Kariel in her tail when she did her maternity shoot with a photographer I worked with. I thought it was amazing. Then I looked up her videos and mermaid Melissa’s too and I was floored.
I’m kind of obsessed now. Mainly with the tails. I saw a Merbella tail and its so beautiful. It’s like a painting. I thought how I’d love to swim in a beautiful tail along a reef.
It wasn’t until I moved to Japan that I really started getting into it. Doing research, watching videos and even buying Mermaid Raina’s book.
Now I’m here, continuing my research. As the title suggests: I’m a work in progress. I’m working on my swimming and my mer-sona. I’m hoping that one day I can become a mermaid that inspires, like how Kariel and Melissa inspired me.
